Performative work based on the act of visiting the Alte Nationalgalerie in Berlin every Thursday evening for six months in order to look at the same, single painting. Documentation takes the form of a narrative text describing the experience (without ever disclosing the identity of the painting).
The work also takes the form of a live reading with accompanying slide show, which features unrelated photographs of my everyday life at the time of the performance. It was first staged in this form at Kunstraum Richard Sorge, Berlin in August 2010, as part of the live art event Nude as the News with Low Profile and Oliver Walker, curated by Sunshine Wong.
